LANG, Robert — Robert (Bob) Lang of Havelock, in his 79th year, passed away suddenly on Friday July 20, 2018 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Dearly beloved husband of Beverley, loving father of Shari (Greg), devoted grandfather (Papa) of Cody (Kelly), Brendan and Devon, brother of Betty (Dennis) and Marlene (Norm), much loved uncle to many nieces and nephews and great grand-dog Kaiya.
A man of great dignity and generosity, Bob had a huge heart and was willing to help anyone in need and pass along his wealth of knowledge. He was passionate about vintage cars, including his prized Model A, travel, an avid collector of antique oil lamps and clocks, an outdoorsman, and proud dog owner. Papa will be sadly missed by his family and wide circle of friends and relatives, who are left with a lifetime of memories including his infectious smile, his sense of humour and his generous heart and soul.
The family wishes to thank the caring nurses and doctors at both the PRHC ICU and Campbellford Memorial Hospital for their kindness and consideration, the kindness shown by staff at the Brett Funeral Home in Hastings and the love and support of family and friends during a difficult time.
As per Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral or service of remembrance. Donations to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital in Bob’s memory would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.brettfuneralchapels.com.
