BROWN, Reta Katherine (nee West) — January 18, 1953 - January 14, 2013, On January 14, 2013, Reta succumbed peacefully to her battle with cancer. Reta is survived by her husband George ‘Ted’ Brown; daughters, Lori-Anne (Brown) Ohehir of Bradford; Lisa Katherine Brown of Maple; Lana Mae Brown of Bolton; grandson, Jamie Andrew Brown of Bradford; granddaughters, Brittany Anne Gaudin of Bolton; Sara Nicol Ohehir of Bradford; sisters, Margaret (West) Porter of Hastings, Bettie (West) Brown of Cordova, Grace (West) Eakins of Calgary, AB; brother, William West of Cordova. An extended thank you to the wonderful and warm care provided by the Veterans Ward at the Wascana Rehabilitative Centre and many thanks to Linda Janzen and the Lakeview United Church for the peace given to mom on her journey. Family and friends may gather at BRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, HAVELOCK from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 26, 2013. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Final resting place at Maple Grove Cemetery in the spring. In memory of Reta, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
