Condolence From: Clint Graham (Arena Operator)
Condolence: Only 3 years into retirement. It's just not fair. LB trained me when I started working at the Campbellford Arena in 2008. He use to call me TINY. However I'm pretty much the same size as Brian lol. It was a pleasure working with him, even though I heard the same stories over and over again. He loved it when I was on days with him so that I could do all the sluggin. But he loved it even more when I would cover him for a night shift! Sure will miss ya LB. RIP

Condolence:
I have been trying for a few days now to capture the essence of my brother-in-law Larry Buchanan and let you know what he was all about to me...

I have many fond memories of Larry going all the way back to my childhood right up until last week when I shook his hand and he gave me a big hearty smile. Larry was a kind man, looked after not only his family but his friends and extended family. I never heard Larry raise his voice, get angry or even for that matter curse a word.

I remember talking with both Heather and Larry about the merits of travelling a few years back and was elated to hear Larry tell me last Spring that was the best advice I ever gave him.

From the time he was diagnosed with cancer, he showed tenacity, courage and was such an inspiration to me with his desire to not only be well but to walk again. If you ever want to see a video on perseverance ask one of the boys to send you the video of Larry walking out of the hospital just a few short months ago. Now there's a real man. I hope when my time comes, I'm able to deal with it as courageously as Larry.

Larry stared down cancer with courage and conviction that I'm sure most people would have a tough time mustering under the best of circumstances. He took everything in stride and never skipped a beat. Our visits were just like old times; shooting the breeze, watching TV and having some good food.

Through the treatments and chemotherapy, there came a point where Larry realized the writing was on the wall. He hadn’t given up; he just wanted to focus on enjoying what time he had left with his family. Rest in peace Larry you had a courageous battle with a sinister disease and now with your parents again.

So I take my most vivid childhood memory of Larry with a stubby Colt 45 and tip my glass to you until we meet again.

Condolence: Dear Heather, Bruce & Brian,

My sincerest condolences to you over your loss. As a kid staying at the Harris house during the summers of 1982/1983 were very memorable, as well as being there on weekends. Always remember "Heather, Larry & the boys" coming over and having chats with Larry about various topics. He was a quiet man, but always would chat & have a few laughs.

I will never forget Larry driving Heather & Karen to Port Perry and being there for my mom while she passed away in April 2012. Will miss you Larry.
