Condolence From: Eileen & Brian Eaton
Condolence: Dear Talia & Connie, Brian & I want to express our deepest sympathy in the passing of Beryl.
She was a wonderful woman, with her sweet little smile and her warm and welcoming heart.
We have many fond memories of times spent with Beryl and Jimmy in Kirkfield. We always had many good laughs. On many a beautiful sunny spring day when the birds are singing and a special sighting of a blue bird or the humming birds are flying about I would often think of your Mom and how she would just love the day. She was a great lady with a big heart and a fun loving person, In the good days and the difficult times. We are very sorry for your loss.

Condolence: I first met Beryl at her home when Talia brought me over. Beryl was so maternal and funny from the get go. She was always such a generous host, whether in her home in downtown Toronto or in her country home. She was very relaxed and comfortable with us crazy kids. She had such a nice way of listening to us and making us feel like we had something interesting to say. I know she loved Talia so much. Beryl was a wonderful, funny, smart person. Sending lots of love to the family that she left behind. xoxo

Condolence: During high school Talia would often invite me up to Beryl and Jimmy's farm.

It was really beautiful and sprawling but still homey and rustic. All that land and bucolic beauty was pretty mind-blowing for me, having been raised entirely in apartment buildings and concrete cities. It was up at that farm that I got to see a black sky covered in a billion stars, something I'd never seen before.

Thanks in large part to Beryl's warmest hospitality (and Talia's of course), it was a place I would return to several times.

I remember Beryl being the best host. Always smiling, in a slightly amused way, quiet, but genuinely engaged. She made guests feel welcome by not making a fuss. And by making it all feel so easy-breezy.

When I'd visit over the holidays she'd make sure a "Chanukah bush" was cut down for me alongside the annual Christmas tree.

The few conversations we had alone, her love for her daughter was abundantly obvious. It seemed like an unobtrusive but enormous love and constant concern.

She loved you so much Talia and of course you, her.

I'm so sorry for your loss Talia. I hope you find some comfort in all the shared memories and tributes you receive for your beautiful mom during this difficult time.

Love, Dana
