My Uncle Bernie would show his prowess with the French language when ever the family gathered at Moonlight Motel.  Unfortunately, his command of the French lanaguage was restricted to items found in or on Church grounds.  He would chuckle while telling us his stories making sure Aunt Claire did not hear him using his French skills. I remember Bernie as a proud Merchant Marine, Master Plumber and a warm man.
