The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Margaret Taylor can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I have so many fond memories of Margaret

She babysat me full time from the time I was 6 weeks old until I started Kindergarten; and then periodically until I was 12. She always treated me like her own. In fact I called her Mommy Margaret. She taught me how to needlepoint/cross stitch and knit. She let me help her bake pies; even letting me bake my own from the pastry scraps. She and Jack taught me a love of piano; and always encouraged me to practice. She would sit on the couch and listen. She got me my first library card and would read to me. She and Jack introduced me to Dr.Seuss. Poor Jack - I would make him read me "The Cat in the Hat" every Saturday! And he did!!! Lol Margaret would take me to church meetings and quilting bees; where I would sit under the table and steal cheese with Marilyn Porter. She took me to her Parker family reunions. She shared her love of the Monarchy with me; and I became hooked as well. She and her brother taught me how to play Euchre when I was 5; at the New Years Dinner she always hosted for family and neighbours. She was steadfast in her love of God. She told me at Christmas that she had lived a good life and was ready to go home when Jesus came for her. Yes Margaret, you lived a great life - and we are all blessed for having you in ours. Until we meet again, Leigh xo
