The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jean Boote can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

A Good Neighbour

Not really a story, a few memories of the good neighbours who lived next door on Shelbourne St.

Jean was a good cookie maker and often shared a plateful for Jane, Anne and Drew. It was evident that she was a caring person who liked to give. Always a quick smile and a friendly word. I think of her every time I close the drapes around 4 pm. Ted told her to open them during the day in winter and draw them shut as the sun was going down to keep out the cold. Good advice.

Can't leave without saying a word about the sitter next door, a reflection of Jean's good parenting. My how our three enjoyed Ro-Ro especially Anne. A birthday party wasn't a party without Rosemary, She's in quite a few pictures.

We have fond memories of the Boote family and regret that Jean's grandchildren and great grandchild did not get to know her the way our kids did. A great spirit. Our condolences to all on the loss of a warm loving person, Bob and Doris Hollingsworth
