Bruce helped me and David get into the cottage more than once, saved us, in fact, because we were trapped outside and it was winter.  But the encounter I remember most is when I had come over from UK in the winter and just wanted to spend a couple of days at the cottage by myself.  We scared each other senseless when Bruce walked in (as he so faithfully checked on the cottage in winter) and there I was.  So unexpectedly face to face.
