JONES, W. F. “Bob” — It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Willoughby Frederick "Bob" Jones at his home, Pleasant Meadow Manor, Norwood on October 2nd, 2019 in his 91st year. Adored father of daughter Roberta (Bobbi) Blakley. Grandpa Jones of grandsons Josh Walker (Steff), Doc Walker (Kristy) and very special great grandsons Landon, Logan & Nathan. Fondly remembered by his nephews Eric Jones (Janet), David Aboud and nieces Darlene Polk and Dianne Franklin (Keith) and many friends including his great granddog Stewie. He is predeceased by his parents Charlie and Molly, 3 loving wives Mary Ellen, Mima and Conny, brother Doug, sisters Velma, Noreen and Betty and cherished son Blair. Bob had a life that could never be explained. He worked in insurance for years then Trans Canada Pipelines as Head of Security & before his permanent retirement security for his team The Toronto Blue Jays. His retirement days were spent making music discs for everyone....he loved all music from Hank Snow to Lynryd Skynyrd, long walks in Havelock picking up trash. He always said we can keep Havelock beautiful if we pick up one cup or bottle a day. He volunteered tirelessly as co-chair on the Campbellford Hospital Cat Scan Committee. He knew an endless amount of history and information about Havelock and Marmora that was truly a gold mine of memories. His fondest achievement was helping The Station Restaurant prepare for their big Grand Opening, becoming close friends with Niko, Ianni, Kiki and Stephen. Huge thanks to Dr. Darlene Lunn and her entire team at Pleasant Meadow Manor for ensuring Bob's dignity and comfort during his entire stay. Dr. Neil Pritchard and Dr. Jamie Read together with the GAIN office provided Bob with lots of support and encouragement which helped him reach his milestone 90th birthday. Thank you as well to Mapleview Retirement home for all the kindnesses shown to Bob! A celebration of Life will be held at HAVELOCK UNITED CHURCH, 10 Ontario Street, Havelock, on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
