Wilson, William Donald (Don), of Westwood, ON. March 21, 1932-September 20, 2023.
Retired dairy farmer and former volunteer firefighter and forever Leaf fan, passed peacefully with loving family at his bedside at The Bridge Hospice in Warkworth.
Predeceased by his parents William and Ellenor (Humphries). Loving husband of the late Verla (Kidd); devoted father of Arlene Moher (Tim) and Gary Wilson (Lynn). Cherished Grandpa to Hayley and Hayden; Megan (Craig) and Jack.
Dear brother to Robert (Bob) Wilson (Judy) and Isobel Sutton. Brother in law of Ruth Flynn (Tom).
Don is predeceased by sister Jesse (Gerald) Larmer, brothers Alex (Marjorie) Wilson and Walter (Ruth) Wilson, brothers-in law Orville Kidd (Winnie), Leslie Kidd (Betty), Marvin Kidd (Eva), Harvey Kidd (Velma); sisters -in-law Gloria Prouty (Lennel), and Lorraine Geer (Don).
Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews of the Wilson and Kidd families as well as many friends and good neighbours on the 3rd line.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Brett Funeral Chapel, Hastings for visitation Sunday September 24, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Monday September 25, 2023 at 11:00 am, Reverend Lynn Watson officiating with interment following at Westwood Cemetery.
