September 15, 1933 to November 28, 2023
It is with heavy heart and sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ursula (Wille) Sanftenberg on November 28, 2023. She was born in Einbeck Germany, the 2nd youngest of 7 girls. She came to Canada in 1956 as a young bride with her beloved husband Gerhard and settled in Sudbury, Ontario and later in life relocated to Hastings, Ontario.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Gerhard of 69 years and beloved sons Detlef, Ernest ( Georgette), Thomas, Robert ( predeceased) and John ( Kimberley). She was the beloved Oma to her grandchildren Christopher (Sarah), Ashley, Joffre( Chelsea), Santana ( Gaelen Zettle ), Kaitlin, Derek ( Nicki), Brock and her great grandchildren Madylin, Lukas, Makena, and Ira.
She was a central figure in our family and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that you donate to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or of your choice.
The family would to thank the staff at the Pleasant Meadow Manor and staff in the emergency ward of the Campbellford Memorial Hospital for their caring and professional support.
