Obituary for Margaret Gearon Skinner (Sayers)
Margaret Gearon Skinner passed away on Friday, February 19th, 2021 at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital in her 94th year. Margaret will be missed by her loving husband Peter Skinner. Cherished Mother of Danny Skinner (Linda), Cathy Versage, and Leslie Brandon (Matt). Beloved Nana to Jeff Egan (Heather), Lee Versage, Michelle Hale (Travis), Jay Versage (Meaghan and Cole), James Brandon (Cassidy), and Jess Brandon (Kory). Loving Great Nana to Ryder Egan, Rachel Egan, Maya Hale, and Lily Hale. Margaret is the last surviving member of the Sayers family.
Margaret was a bookkeeper in Campbellford for many years, retiring in her early 80s. Margaret was drawn to the water, living most of her life on the Trent River and later moving into the Hastings community. She would often be seen in her best attire, making her way down to the river to enjoy the view. Although almost 94 years of age, Margaret had the spirit of a young person and a love for the small things in life. As per Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place and she will remain with her family.
