He was born in Trenton, Ontario. His family settled in Centre Dummer, north of Norwood, on his grandfather's land. He worked at the mines when he first got married, eventually, he would build a successful egg farm. He and Jean both worked hard on the farm and raised 6 children there. After many years on the farm, they decided that it was time to move into town. They moved to Havelock in 1993. After Jean passed away in 2008, Wes was blessed with yet another wonderful wife, Rhea, with whom he has shared the last 12 years with. He has enjoyed his retirement years driving around in his 1956 Plymouth and playing music with Rhea wherever they could. As he matured so did his faith, leaving no doubt to all who knew him where he is today.
