February 26, 1946 – October 3, 2023
With heavy hearts we announce our mother’s passing at her home, Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
She will be loved and cherished by her children James Allen (Bonnie) & Heather Vansfield Young (Darren), her grandchildren Courtney, Logan, Leiah, Justin & Reese, and her siblings John Robbins (Gail, Kathy Menzies (Charlie), Tom Robbins, Linda Robbins, Dan Robbins and Anne St. Clair (Ron). Predeceased by her mother Marguerite Louise Robbins (nee Rice), her husband Franklin Emile Vansfield, and her siblings Annie, Donald Dennis & David Robbins, & Jean Squires.
Joan was such a wonderfully kind sweet soul, like her mother. She was always thoughtful. She loved animals, painting, and helping others because she truly cared. We will miss her dearly. Joan loved her family so much. We will miss her laugh and sense of humour. We know she will remain in the hearts and lives of those she touched with her kindness. We have been lucky to have her in our lives; never knowing her love would have been a greater loss.
There will be no service. If you wish to honour Joan with a memorial donation, causes which she loved were Burnbrae Gardens, Campbellford residents fund, an animal rescue of your choice, or the Havelock Library.
