CRATE, Frederick ‘Scott’ (Member of Hastings Royal Canadian Legion Branch #106, avid golfer and loyal fan of the Boston Bruins) – Unexpectedly at his residence in Peterborough on Sunday, December 23, 2018, Scott Crate, in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Dovak) for over 29 years. Dear father of his ‘special’ daughter Helen (Zac) of Whitehorse, Yukon. Cherished son of Peter and Sharon Crate of Peterborough. Brother of Stephen (Carolyn) of Cornwall and Shelley Crate of Cobourg. Also survived by his nieces and nephews. Son-in-law of Estelle Dovak and the late John Dovak. Scott will be sadly missed by his dear friend Glen Roberts, his golfing buddies and his Costco family. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Hastings Royal Canadian Legion Branch #106, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A Legion Service will be held at 12:45 pm.
