It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Matthews announce her sudden passing on Tuesday December 12, 2023 at the age of 83.
Jean will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Ted; children Marty (Sarah) and Tara; grandchildren Molly, Lucy, and Benjamin; sister Mary; and many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Elsie & Alexander and sibling Ronald (Heather).
Jean was an active member of the Havelock and Campbellford communities for 50 years, working to support people with developmental difficulties at Community Living until her retirement at age 65.
We invite you to join our family as we remember and celebrate her life on Sunday January 28th, 2024, from 1pm-4pm at the Cordova Mines Community Hall (55 Alfred St. East, Havelock ON).
In honour of Jean’s love of reading, memorial donations in her name can be made to the Havelock Belmont Methuen Public Library.
