Carol Ann Nora Smith July 13th, 1943 – August 21st, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Nora Smith (nee Storry) on August 21, 2021 in her 78th year after a courageous battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s. Carol was born on July 13th, 1943 in Cochrane, Ontario. She grew up in Hornepayne where she met her husband William Smith at a school dance in 1959. They fell in love that day and knew they would spend the rest of their lives together. They eventually went on to marry on November 3rd, 1962. Together they raised their four children Gail (Brady), Gary (Jaana), Linda (David), Paula (John).
Carol was cherished grandma of 8 to Hunter, Kayla, Teija, Hailey, Allison, Emily, Lauren, and Evan.
Great Grandma to Jack, Ava, and Riley.
Loving sister to Marilyn (Dan), and Dorothy (Paul) and sisters-in-law, Percy, Jeanne, and Marg.
She is predeceased by her parents, Edith and Alfred Lyons, brothers, Gerry and Edward, and Grandson, Baby William.
She will be missed by her many family and friends.
Carol will forever be remembered for her immense love and devotion to her family and her infectious laugh that would fill a room.
