Obituary for Leone White
On Saturday July 8, 2023, Leone White passed away peacefully at the age of 76 at the Bridge Hospice in Warkworth, Ontario. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time she passed.
Leone was the daughter of Thomas Mackie and Bertha Andrews, born in Glace Bay Nova Scotia on January 5, 1947. She was the loving wife to Keith for 52 years, and devoted Mother to Chris (Jackie) and Lori (Rich), a cherished Grandmother to Brooklyn, Makenna, Nash, Caleb and Makayla, adored sister to Gail, George, Brendan, Seward, Evelyn, Anna, predeceased by sisters Heather, Louise and brother Bobby, and dear aunt to Jason, Michael, Alexis, Mae Belle, Lynn, Peter and Jennifer.
Leone spent the latter part of her career working for Campbellford Palliative Care as an administrative assistant. In this role, she also organized and led bereavement groups and helped with fundraising. This job was a perfect fit for her because she loved to give back to the community.
Leone was also passionate about gardening, watching her grandkids play sports, morning walks with her dog Barkley, and spending her summers at the cottage.
A service and reception will be held at the United Church in Havelock on Friday July 28th at 1pm.
