Barbara Ellen Haig (née Wood), in her 96th year, passed away peacefully — with her youngest daughter, Wanita, at her side — at Extendicare Cobourg, on July 5, 2021. Born May 30, 1926 at Oak Lake to Herbert and Mae Wood. Survived by her loving children Judy McFeely, Steven Haig (Donna), David Haig and Wanita Thompson (Dan). Cherished grandmother of Joe, Jamin, Sarah (Devon) and Blaine and great grandmother of Raya. Adored by many cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbours and more. Sister of the late Dalton (Anne) and Marilyn Wren (Doug). Barb joined her late family members at Maple Grove Cemetery in Havelock to the sound of acoustic guitar. Treasured fond memories of her homestead Back North, her house of 70+ years in Campbellford, old-time country music, dancing, animals, classic TV, reading and soft-crust pie.
