Obituary for Gordon Albert Bowman

BOWMAN, Gord, May 21, 1951-Jan. 11, 2018—Suddenly at home in Cordova Mines while bravely fighting cancer again. Beloved husband of Susan Brownson and special stepdad of Vanessa (Mike) for over 30 years. Very proud dad of Glenn, wife Michelle and grandtwins Brianna and Ty, Toronto; Aaron and wife Jace, grandsons Gabe, Geremi, and Gibson, Scarborough; and Ashley and grandkids, Kole, Siera and Brayden, Scarborough. Dear brother of John (Judy), Bob (Henri), ‘Big Sis’ Susanne and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Bill and Stella, East York. Gord will be missed by Steve and Donna McPhee and sons Hayden, Garrett and Devin and many dear friends. Our heartfelt thanks to Norrie, Rick, Dana and Larry, and to Ray Haines, friend and Fire Chief and the Cordova Mines and Havelock Fire Departments, O.P.P., paramedics, and Brett Funeral Chapel. Your care and attention given to Gord will never, ever be forgotten. Thank you for being there for me too. Special thanks to Dr. Gregory Lo and all the amazing staff at P.R.H.C. Cancer Centre. Cremation had taken place and a celebration of life will be held in the spring at our home. Donations in Gord’s memory may be made to any animal rescue organization. For Gord, GO-LEAFS-GO!
