Obituary for Barbara Ann Fox

FOX, Barbara Ann— Peacefully at St. Joseph’s At Fleming, Peterborough, April 20, 2017 in her 98th year. Loving mother of John Fox & his wife Doreen and Marjorie Bothwell & her husband Bob. Cherished grandmother of Duncan, Alexa & Jeremy Bothwell. Fondly remembered by her brother Hugh & his wife Colette of Victoria, B.C. and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her husband George, her parents Gordon & Vera Van Patter, and her brothers Alan & Ross. A descendent of early Ontario settlers, Barbara’s spirit embodied the pioneer values of love of God, family and community. She will be remembered by her textile artistry, her teaching career, and her long participation in the parish life of St. John the Evangelist, Havelock. Barbara’s family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph’s at Fleming for their many years of loving, compassionate care. Family and friends may gather at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1 George St. E, Havelock on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. A funeral service will follow in the church at 1:30pm. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery. Donations in Barbara’s memory to St. Joseph’s At Fleming Foundation or St. John the Evangelist would be appreciated.
